No family stands alone. The welfare fund exists so the community can respond quickly when a member is in need.
What the fund covers
- Bereavement
- Support toward funeral costs and repatriation for a member or their immediate family.
- Medical
- Assistance during serious illness, hospitalisation or long-term treatment.
- New arrivals
- Practical help for families newly arrived in Queensland — furniture, transport, orientation.
How to request support
Speak to the secretary or any committee member in confidence. Requests are considered at the next committee meeting, and urgent matters are handled between meetings by the office bearers.
